Structure and Essays are Ultimately Important

The Structure of any Essay (except a strict argumentative) follows this framework.

1. Introduction that captures the reader’s attention and leads into a very clearly stated thesis statement.

Very clearly stated thesis statement (like the examples above)

2. evidence paragraphs that prove the thesis is true. Every topic should reinforce the thesis statement.
3. concluding paragraph.

In a strictly argumentative essay, the pattern goes like this:

1. Introduction.

2. Body evidence paragraphs.
3. In the second or third to last paragraph you need to acknowledge the other sides major argument to counter yours.
4. Then you need to overcome their major objection against you.

This whole process can take two paragraphs or one, depending upon how much they would say against you and what you would say in rebuttal.
